Sonray Capital Markets Back to Basics Index investment service provides our clients with the tools for long-term wealth creation. In a period where chaos in equity markets have seen many complicated opaque investment strategies underperform, our strategy brings to the client the key attributes that have always been the foundation of sound investment practice.
Our clients will invest in the SPDR S&P/ASX 200 Exchange traded fund (“STW”). This instrument is traded on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) and tracks the movement of the top 200 Australian stocks. The underlying stocks are weighted according to their size and the client receives distributions reflecting all the dividends and franking credits attached to the underlying stocks. It is a simple and effective method of having an exposure of blue chip stocks with the added advantage of being traded on the market like a normal equity. Research has consistently shown that the majority of fund managers do not beat the benchmark ASX 200 index and we believe that investment in these low-cost index tracking products should be considered.
The key to successful investment is to avoid the herd mentality and to buy quality assets when they have been discounted and similarly increase market exposure in uptrending markets with proper debt level maintenance. This debt management is rarely part of an investor’s plan and is key to wealth creation.
Recent market events have led investors worldwide to get back to the fundamentals that have always worked. The Sonray Back to Basics Index investment approach applies those fundamentals together with dynamic and conservative debt management principles to create a strategy that should be a key part of your portfolio.
